Taylor Homes is a family business that was started in 1983 by Ron & Desley Taylor. From its
humble beginnings in their home offices they have expanded their business into one of the largest
home builders in Townsville but still retain the personalised service that sets them apart. In 1995 their
son Chris joined the business ensuring that the family emphasis of Taylor Homes will continue.

Ron has been involved in the building industry, starting as an apprentice
in 1966. In 1977 he gained his builder's license. (No. 12024)

Ron is very active in the building industry, having served as President of the
Northern Australian division of the Housing Industry Association (HIA). He has also been involved in various working committees for the HIA. He was elected to the local City Council in 2000 and is the chairman of the planning and development committee.

Chris Taylor joined the business after studying at University and receiving his Bachelor of Commerce. He has also now achieved his Bachelor in Construction Management. This education has given him an excellent knowledge of the management and organisation process required in a construction project. He continues his education learning the valuable practical knowledge required in the industry. Chris has also received his own builder's license (No. 715758).

Taylor Homes (Lic. No. 715759) is actively involved in apprenticeship and employee training to further their knowledge and employee training of the latest technology and construction methods
