The Housing Industry Association Regional Office is a
project that Taylor Homes was proud to design and construct.
Taylor Homes was given a brief on the client's requirements for the
building, regarding office accommodation, training facilities, catering,
storage facilities and staff amenities. From this brief we designed a
building to incorporate all these requirements and to allow for
future expansion.
The design includes a lofted reception area, leading to the Regional Director's office, executive offices, meeting rooms, work station area and staff facilities.
The building has been designed to allow the training areas to be operated independently to accommodate after hours and week-end courses. Special requirements including 10 metre long fabric covered acoustic folding doors, which enable the training rooms to be divided into multi-use areas. Remote controlled audio/visual systems, combined with cbus theatre lighting, smart wiring and electric retractable video screens create a state of the art building. This area also has a commercial kitchen, to allow in-house catering, with an adjacent covered outdoor and barbeque area.
Taylor Homes prepared all the interior design details including reception counter, boardroom, workstation area, filing systems and storage areas to assist with security and confidentiality requirements. The interior colours, finishes and furnishings were carefully selected by the designers at Taylor Homes to reflect each area and create a professional working environment.
The building was designed in-house by Taylor Homes , which enabled innovative engineering and design features, including two storey cantilevered roof structure supported by a single pedestal and incorporating full height glazing.
The project, from initial design to handover, was completed within 18 months, meeting all time and budgetary constraints.
Regular on site meetings with representatives of the client, Taylor Homes management staff and various consultants, ensured a professional and open working relationship throughout construction.
The building has been designed to provide the Housing Industry Association with a Regional Office that is easily recognisable and maintain a timeless quality. The project incorporates parking facilities, and rear driveway access, without losing Council required street appeal and landscape detail. |
